All organizations and individuals interact with both the natural and constructed environments. Our daily lives, work, and leisure activities take place within structures, cities, and towns. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that built environments are sustainable and do not adversely affect the environment.

In Europe, the construction sector is the primary contributor to the continent's environmental impact, accounting for an alarming 36% of total emissions. Moreover, buildings are responsible for a staggering 50% of resource extraction and consumption within the region. Recognizing this urgent need for change, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation report has outlined six crucial strategies for creating a circular and nature-positive built environment.
