The country's economic growth has been hindered by infrastructure delivery bottlenecks. Companies in the metal and engineering sector face immediate challenges due to the decay of infrastructure, which are both alarming and distressing.

According to Tafadzwa Chibanguza who is COO of the Steel & Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa. Addressing the current infrastructure issues will not only resolve immediate problems but also make the country more appealing for long-term infrastructure investment. This will create a virtuous cycle of industrialization by the metal and engineering sector , as improved infrastructure attracts more investment, leading to further infrastructure development and economic growth.
