VACANCY: Structural Engineer

A Civil Engineering Consulting company with experience in the design and project management of civil engineering systems and infrastructure, is looking for a Structural Engineer to be based in Fourways, JHB.


 PURPOSE

To participate structural engineering aspects of several projects simultaneously. The role is central to ensuring the safe, timely, and well-resourced completion of numerous projects in many areas of application

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Professional Technologist

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering design, experience in bridge design will be an advantage.
  • Must have experience in contract administration documentation based on NEC
  • Must have experience in reviewing, updating, and modifying of drawings 
  • Sound knowledge over a broad range of civil engineering fields 
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to define and understand specific project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals 
  • Ability to plan and manage the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality 
  • Ability to carry out technical design work to a high standard. 
  • Ability to offer technical support during construction
