VACANCY: Roads Engineer

A Civil Engineering Consulting company with experience in the design and project management of civil engineering systems and infrastructure, is looking for a Roads Engineer to be based in Fourways, JHB.

PURPOSE

To participate roads and stormwater design engineering aspects of several projects simultaneously. The role is central to ensuring the safe, timely, and well-resourced completion of numerous projects in many areas of application

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Professional Technologist

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in roads and stormwater engineering design
  • Must have experience in contract administration documentation based on NEC
  • Must have experience in reviewing, updating, and modifying of drawings 
  • Sound knowledge over a broad range of civil engineering fields 
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to define and understand specific project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals 
  • Ability to plan and manage the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality 
  • Ability to carry out technical design work to a high standard. 
  • Ability to offer technical support during construction
