VACANCY: Resident Engineer

A Civil Engineering Consulting company with experience in the design and project management of civil engineering systems and infrastructure, is looking for a Resident Engineer with roads and stormwater experience to be based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.



PURPOSE

To lead site supervision of roads and stormwater project in Mthatha, Eastern Cape

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc/BEng/Btech in Civil Engineering 
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng)/ Professional Technologist (PrTechEng)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in site supervision of roads and stormwater projects 
  • Knowledge of FIDIC and COLTO/ COTO is a must
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS projects or similar
  • Experience in construction planning and works programming
  • Knowledge of construction and pavement layers, asphalt surfacing and surfacing seals and stormwater

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressure
  • Proactive and self started
