VACANCY: Project Manager - Civil Engineering

 An enterprise that is a provider to major infrastructural role-players and clients is looking for Civil Engineering Project Manager



PURPOSE

To lead the engineering effort and participate in the civil and structural engineering aspects of several small capital expansion and operation support projects simultaneously. The role is central to ensuring the safe, timely, and well-resourced completion of numerous projects in many areas of application

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Professional Engineer/Professional Technologist with ECSA  and/or Professional Construction Project Manager with the SACPCMP 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, experience in roads and civil infrastructure will be an advantage
  • Experience in Structural and/or Roads design
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to define and understand specific project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals 
  • Ability to plan and manage the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality 
  • Ability to prepare Contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4
  • Ability to carry out technical design work to a high standard. 
  • Sound knowledge over a broad range of civil engineering fields 
  • Ability to review, update, and modification of drawings 
  • Ability to offer technical support during construction
