VACANCY: Resident Engineer

  A Civil Engineering Consulting company with experience in the design and project management of civil engineering systems and infrastructure,in the built environment sector is looking for a Resident Engineer.

PURPOSE

To lead site supervision of major roads projects

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • BSc/BEng/ in Civil Engineering 
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in site supervision roads projects 
  • Experience of SANRAL procedures and projects are preferable
  • Knowledge of FIDIC and COLTO/ COTO is a must
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS projects or similar
  • Experience in construction planning and works programming
  • Experience with bridge design and /or construction bridges is preferable
  • Knowledge of construction and pavement layers, asphalt surfacing and surfacing seals

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressure
  • Proactive and self started
