NEWS : SA Economy grows in the second quarter

The finance, manufacturing, trade, as well as the electricity, gas, and water supply sectors were the main contributors to the economy's growth on the production side. On the expenditure side, growth was fueled by household consumption, government spending, and inventory accumulation.


Within the production sector, the finance, real estate, and business services industry had the most significant impact, adding 0.3 of a percentage point to gross domestic product (GDP).
