REVIEW: Cities can foster an inclusive and equitable future.

Integrating local and regional governments (LRGs) into multilateral decision-making processes would revolutionize global governance by enabling them to contribute solutions to pressing global challenges. Cities have the potential to complement and enhance the efforts of central governments by contributing to the achievement of critical objectives like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.


To create a world that prioritizes human needs, promotes livability, and ensures sustainability, we must redefine multilateralism to encompass greater participation by local governments. This involves implementing concrete actions in five key areas that directly impact Local Regional Governments (LRGs).
