VACANCY: Senior Structural Site Agent

A privately owned construction company with its civil engineering subsidiaries operating in Southern Africa and neighbouring African countries is looking for a Senior Structural Site Agent.


PURPOSE:

Co-ordinate/ control the daily output of the construction team to ensure efficacy and timeous delivery of the contract to a standard of quality that enhances the image of the company. To maintain a high level of professionalism ensuring problems are identified as soon as possible and solutions are implemented timeously.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum ND/ Btech Civil Engineering 
  • Must be professionally registered with the SACPCMP or ECSA 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Must have at least 12 years working experience as a Site Agent

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be able to run a site independently with a project value of between 500 – 800 million, reporting to the JV’s Construction Manager.
  • Must be able to resolve high level technical issues, relating to the stressing & launching of structure.
  • Liaise with the Resident Engineer on technical matters.
  • Manage specialized sub-contractors.
  • Understand/ contribute and implement the quality assurance plan.
  • Good knowledge of site administration matters.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Financial acumen and a full understanding of cost and allowable. 
  • Communicate/ Collaborate with other Site Agent.
