Did the government make the right decision by bringing over Cuban Engineers?

Absolutely NOT - This is a waste of OUR MONEY again - we have many engineers capable of resolving the situation. We also have a vast number of recently retired or retrenched engineers that need the work just to make ends meet.

Are the reasons given for this decision valid?

Our engineering standards are vastly superior to that of the Cuban's and we are not tapping into the available resource.

How will this impact our local pool of Built Environment Professionals?

The decision is clearly political and expedient (probably corrupt) and will raise an already skeptical professional sentiment to new levels of outright anger.

How can Built Environment Professionals show their disapproval of this decision?

The only way to make an impact is to stand together as an industry and make our voices heard through signed petitions and strong industry body reaction against this waste.
