The construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, a 700-kilometer infrastructure endeavor, is a significant milestone for economic and infrastructural growth in Nigeria. Given its scale and anticipated impact on trade and transport infrastructure, it is estimated that the project could contribute approximately 0.5 to 1.0 points to the LPI upon its completion.

The newly constructed highway is not only enhancing connectivity between nearby regions and the rest of Nigeria but is also stimulating rapid development in previously underserved communities.
